KINETIC 1.5lb PP

A more forgiving polypropylene core with reduced density for a balanced, medium flex. Softer compression allows smoother energy transfer and increased control in varied conditions. Best suited to mild-water temperatures.

NRG+

Dual composite core combining a LiteFlex 1.2lb PP base with a 6mm Kinetic 1.9lb PP topsheet. This layered construction improves compression resistance under the elbows while maintaining a balanced flex pattern, delivering controlled projection and pop for confident performance in cold-water conditions.

LITEFLEX 1.2lb PP

Lightweight and responsive, LiteFlex delivers a softer flex profile for colder water where boards naturally stiffen. Ideal for riders seeking feel and control when water temperatures drop.

WAVECORE 2.4lb PE

2.4lb Sealed Air Polyethylene bodyboard core. A higher volume core with a soft flex action best suited for riders learning the fundamentals of bodyboarding. Performs best in cold-water environments.

LITECELL

Custom moulded EPS cores designed for lightweight efficiency and buoyancy. Stiff, stable, and easy to ride, LiteCell is tuned for entry-level progression and wave count confidence.

CORE INTEGRATIONS

PFS-T (PARALLEL FLEX SYSTEM)

The third evolution of our patented core construction, PFS-T integrates Divinycell® dual high-density foam beams vertically fused directly into the core to form a unified structural system. Running nose to tail with a subtle 1° toe-in, the beams are aligned for optimum flex loading, delivering rapid recoil, increased projection, and long-term durability.

Slimline parabolic Airex® foam beams are embedded into the base of the core to create an ultra-responsive nose-to-tail flex pattern. Raised parabolic ribs form a hydrodynamic concave through the centre of the hull, generating lift for increased acceleration and drive out of deep pits.

hIGH vOLUME

High Volume boards feature thicker cores for increase buoyancy, improving paddling efficiency, earlier wave entry, and speed through weaker or flatter sections. Best suited to heavier riders and softer wave conditions.

hdPE

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) slicks provide a durable, stiff base layer designed to increase board strength and impact resistance. Used across entry to mid-level ranges where durability and long-term performance are the priority.

8lb NXL PE

8lb density PE foam is the industry leading deck and outer rail skin material. The non-crosslinked cellular structure delivers superior cushioning properties and supreme torsional flex when backed with Q12 IXPP foam substrate for use on all densities of PP core. 

IXLPE DECK SKINS

6lb density crosslinked PE foam features a super tight cell structure that creates a highly water-resistant deck and outer rail skin. Selected for entry to mid-level ranges where toughness, impact resistance, and an easy flex feel are essential.

XFL ARMOUR

Crosslinked IXL PE inner rails, nose, and tail bumpers are thermo-welded to all slick edges to create a near water-tight seam. This reinforced perimeter limits water absorption and protects high-impact zones from damage.

q12 BACKING

High density crosslinked PP foam backing layer heat-laminated to 8lb NXL PE deck skins, creating stronger nose and tail seam fusion while increasing overall board strength and durability on all PP based cores.

STIFFENERS

CFT STRINGER

Constructed from lightweight composite fibre tubes, our high performance CFT Stringers are flex calibrated for optimum board stiffness and spring-like projection out of turns and heavy drops.

EXT STRINGER

Extruded fibreglass EXT Stringers are made with a thicker tube wall for a stiffer flex action. Standard on entry to mid-level board constructions for strength and durability in variable surf conditions.

Note: Stringers do not prevent creasing. Always check stringer placement when drilling a leash plug.

REACT MESH

Diamond-shaped polymer mesh layer balances increased stiffness with focused energy transfer, delivering superior projection while maintaining structural integrity in heavy surf.

QUAD CONCAVE

The backbone of NMD’s modern hull designs, our groundbreaking QuadConcave is built for speed, control, and drive in powerful surf. A subtle double concave combined with deep edge channels focuses water through the base of the board, generating lift while locking the rail hard into the wave face. Developed and refined through years of testing with the world’s best riders the QuadConcave delivers explosive projection off the bottom and rock-solid stability when committing to a high-line speed drive. Designed for experienced riders in waves over 4ft.

X4 MINIQUAD

Built from the DNA of our groundbreaking QuadConcave design, the X4 MiniQuad blends the glide and flow of a flat bottom forward of the wide point with the drive and directional control of a QuadConcave through the back half of the board. Deep outer channels concentrate water flow along the rail for enhanced edge control, while a subtle double concave through the centre increases lift, allowing you to sit higher in the pocket and generate more speed through the barrel. 

X6 CONCAVE

A centralised quad concave focuses water flow through the middle of the board generating positive tail lift.  Deeper outer channels concentrate edge flow for high-line wave tracking, delivering smooth control at speed with a more neutral, predictable release. Designed for riders who want drive and stability without over-engagement.

Our DK specific Double Concave hull splits and accelerates water flow beneath the board to generate lift and reduce drag, allowing the board to plane higher and carry speed through the pocket. The balanced design improves rail-to-rail transitions and stability under load, delivering controlled speed with a smooth, forgiving feel

SPLTR CHANNELS

A wide entry channel transitions into a refined double channel through the tail, creating a controlled, directional water-flow pattern that locks the rail edge for amplified projection where it counts most. By directing optimal water flow along the rail, the SPLTR delivers superior hold through the mid-face, while the twin ribs of the double channel increase bite and control when driving off the bottom and punching up to the lip. The result is a faster, more connected feel. Built for riders who demand drive, precision, and confidence in critical sections.

PARALLEL CHANNELS

Parallel channels maintain a consistent width from entry to exit, minimising turbulence along its full length. The smooth, uninterrupted flow transitions into a deeper exit that locks the rail into the wave face, delivering confident hold and stability at speed.

APEX CHANNELS

Starting with a narrow entry that progressively widens and deepens toward the tail. This controlled transition accelerates water flow before increasing rail engagement through the exit, delivering dependable rail hold with a more forgiving feel.

Three-dimensional deck contouring promotes natural hand placement and a more connected feel. By subtly lowering the rider’s centre of engagement without adding bulk, 3DC improves board sensitivity, responsiveness, and confidence when conditions demand full commitment.

GRIPTECH

Thermoformed textured grip zones are engineered to enhance wax build-up in key contact areas, increasing traction and control without compromising board feel.

TAILS

CRESCENT TAIL

The most versatile tail shape in bodyboarding, featuring a radiused arc that delivers stability, maneuverability, and reliable hold. Suitable for both prone and DK, it provides a locked-in feel that performs consistently across all wave conditions and skill levels.

BAT TAIL

Bat tails increase planing surface through the centre of the board, adding lift through the tail for a looser and more responsive feel. Ideal for riders who want speed with easy release.

DEEP V TAIL

A progressive tail design featured on the WiFly V2 series. Engineered to work in hydrodynamic synergy with QuadConcave hulls, extended tail tips and aggressive side cuts increase planing surface to deliver exceptional speed and drive.

Note: WiFly V2 boards are designed to be ridden ½” longer than your standard Crescent Tail length.

MANUFACTURING

BUZZ-TECH LAMINATION

Engineered heat lamination process that bonds deck and slick skins to the core under calibrated tension. The result is consistent recoil, improved projection, and dialled-in rocker profiles.

CNC TEMPLATE SHAPING

All high-performance templates are designed in Shape3D™ CAD software and precision-cut using purpose-built CNC machines. This ensures exact replication, tight tolerances, and consistent performance from board to board.

SURFSHAPER™ CONTOUR SHAPING

Progressive deck contours, bottom concaves, and channel designs are precision-cut using SurfShaper™ CNC technology, allowing complex 3D shaping to be executed with industry leading accuracy and consistency.

HAND FINISHING

Every board is hand-finished by skilled craftsmen. Sanded, trimmed, railed, and rolled to ensure a clean, refined finish that meets NMD’s performance standards.
